Silk Road Global Tourism Gala

As one of the main activities of the 2024 Silk Road Global Tourism Gala, the World Finals of Silk Road Miss Tourism of the Globe shoulders the mission of “cultural integration and exchange, spreading diverse tourism culture to the world”. The competitions are positive and uplifting, with the purpose of “promoting the mutual exchange and cooperation of world tourism culture and tourism resources, and setting up female models”. As such, contestants shall have the ability to discover and spread beauty, while boasting great personal cultivation and team spirit.

This year, instead of simply scoring contestants on stage, the judging panel will be there to inspect the performance of contestants since the day of their registration, to ensure more reasonable and comprehensive scoring.

I. The scoring encompasses four dimensions

1. Daily performance:

By observing the contestants’ daily performance, the judges will give out scores on contestants’ observance of rules and team spirit, which account for 20% of the total score.

2. Performance in front of the camera:

Contestants will be photographed outdoors in the clothing designated by the organizing committee. The clothing will bring out contestants’ willowy figure and outstanding temperament. Besides, the shooting will be supported by makeup artists and famous photographers at home and abroad. The judging panel consisting of expert photographers will give out scores based on contestants’ performance, accounting for 20% of the total score.

3. Travel photography performance:

As the dynamic media for tourism promotion, Silk Road Miss Tourism of the Globe should be able to discover and spread beauty. This event precisely provides a platform for contestants to showcase their personal abilities.

1) Warm-up travel photography before the competition: The shortlisted contestants shall submit vlogs of their country’s customs and natural sceneries to the designated website at least three days before departure;

2) Travel photography during the competition: After landing in China, the contestants shall record the journey during the competition, and upload the recording materials to the designated website for online voting. This part accounts for 30% of the total score.

4. Stage display:

Contestants will be given scores by the judging panel on-site based on their performance on the stage. They will be wearing four different clothes including opening dresses, fashionable dresses, national attire and evening gowns, to fully display their graceful figures. This part accounts for 30% of the total score.

II. Awards

1. Champion, Runner-up, Third place and Top Ten Awards:

1) One Champion, the winner will receive a bonus of US$5,000, a certificate and a trophy

2) One Runner-up, the winner will receive a bonus of US$3,000, a certificate and a trophy

3) One Third Place, the winner will receive a bonus of US$1,000, a certificate and a trophy

4) Ten Top Ten Awards, the winners will receive relevant certificates
